Holiday Care Packages 2017
On November 16, 2017, we packed over 300 cartons for our Troops! And on December 7 packed Xmas presents for our Adoptees as well (courtesy of Lara's Crew). This year we had some great items for the cartons - Mike/Ikes candy from Just Born; Beef and exotic jerkies from Mountain America Jerky; Pumpkin Seeds from MySpiceSage.com and Zenobia; AXE deodorant, razors and Dove baby wipes from Unilever Military Sales; Tuna in foil packs from Inserra Supermarkets; Halloween candy from Dr. Milone, Lara, Dawn and bunches of folks; special bags from Kipnis Physical Therapy for our Special Forces; zip-locs full of goodies from Ms. Red/White/Blue; cards from the kids at Lyncrest School; goodies from Nancy and IMC and donations from lots more folks too numerous to mention.
Our Christmas presents were equally impressive. While we did not see what was in the boxes, we did see some Gift in Kind forms which accompany every box. Some of our Benefactors went WAY ABOVE and BEYOND!!!! We are so grateful to Lara and her Crew!!!! See below for video and pics!
The Gifts are hitting their targets!
Holiday Care Packages 2016
We packed care packages for our Troops in November and December. The ones in November were filled with candy, razors, coffee, t-shirts and hats and all sorts of snacks and fun items. Then on December 8, we packed up personalized Christmas presents! Each of these presents were purchased by a supporter and member of "Lara's Crew," a team organized by our Trustee and VP Special Projects, Lara Spina. We even had Santa there for that packing! The packages are just starting to arrive so we're really happy to see some of the smiling faces now! That's what drives us all!!!! Below are pics from the packing events and the arrivals of the goodies.

Holiday Shipping 2013!
We began packing our Holiday cartons on Friday, November 15, 2013. A veritable Unilever Army showed up at their warehouse in Cresskill, NJ, and we put together 100 cartons in barely three hours! Included were: AXE hair kits and Lipton tea sticks from Unilever; Trail mix bars and Xmas lights from OritaniBank Charitable Foundation; 4lbs of fresh-roasted coffee from Coffee Associates; peppermint peeps from JustBorn; and mint chocolate coffee pouches (like chew) from GetGrinds.com. This is the first of two Holiday shipments we plan and every one of our adoptees will be a beneficiary!
On Friday, 6 December, another great crew gathered at the Unilever warehouse to pack up Xmas gifts all bought by friends and family of Lara Spina, one of our Trustees. Over 80 wrapped presents were taped up and sealed and labeled and gotten ready for our Troopers. A great day for us all!!!! Special thanks to Lara and her crew for their incredible generosity and of course to the team that arrived and to Unilever, whose grant for postage, warehouse and mail crew make all this possible for our Troops!!!!

Another successful event for our troops!
Check out the video above and the pictures below. Packing was held at the Unilever warehouse on Friday, 3 December, 2010, and Tuesday, 7 December, 2010.
This year's Holiday packing event was even more successful than last year! Lara Spina, our VP and Trustee, got her family and friends to buy Xmas presents for our adoptees again -- and this year they ran out of names! It was incredible. Marty and the kids from the Atlantic County (NJ) Alternative High School did a special project to collect goodies for our war fighters and brought up 13 cartons for SFC Scott S and his warriors in Sharana and outskirts. Anne, Mo and the Bryan Cave Law Firm (NYC) Administrative Angels packed over 30 large cartons for 1SG Bubba B and the kids in Afghanistan near his base. Bill A. and Emilia N. from Kessler Rehabilitation Centers got all 80 of their operations in NJ to collect goodies for the Paladins in AFG and brought nearly 100 cartons!
Then add the pillows from Ginny and the Needlecraft School in Midland Park, NJ; the holiday bears from John B. and friends for Walter Reed AMC; the pillows and stuffed animals from Liz H and Operation Jersey Cares for Walter Reed AMC; packages from the NJ Turnpike Authority for the Rakkasans in AFG; the packages from June A; all the goodies from Joan and the Norwood/Northvale Women's Club; candy from Christine and her husband's Pediatric Dentistry Practice in Shelton, CT; Xmas stockings from Linda D and the Piedmont (GA) Patriots; candy and goodies and cards from the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Manasquan, NJ; over 70 helmet liners from the Grace United Methodist Church of Wyckoff, NJ, and Leigh B. and her Knitting Club; coffee from Coffee Associates in Edgewater, NJ; Snicker bars from Dr. Phil A; stockings and goodies from Dawn B and Fair Lawn, NJ's Lyncrest School and the Pediatric Care Billing Dept; stockings and goodies from the North Bergen Girl Scouts and Tara P; goodies for the 745th FST from Bill S. and the FDNY firefighters; and goodies from many of our supporters coming to the Friday packing event (thanks Bruce, Jenny ...).
We also thank Paula and the Seyfarth Shaw Law Firm in NYC and Crystal, Curt and the team at Planet Tool & Engineering and their partner firms in O'Fallon, MO, for their fantastic holiday drive to send packages to CJTF 101 in AFG!
Add to that the financial donations from Bob G, Tom D, John Q, John and Joan C, the E family, Brenda K; Wm Raveis Agency in Trumbull, CT; Paul Z; Frank and Joan T; Carol D; Judy F; Rainer and Joy M; George V; the Parallel Group; Fair Lawn Athletic Club; Jeanne E; Donald and Lilyam W; Midge and JH; and others ... well, it's been a great holiday season for our troops so far!
And thanks to DHL Express for sending Xmas trees again to our troops this year! This is their eighth year in a row and the sixth year they have given trees to our units. This year we are even sending trees to our great NATO Commander GEN David H. Petraeus for HQ and surrounding units. We are so honored to do so. Thanks DHL!
