Fair Lawn, NJ, Borough Dinner/Dance Saturday night, Jan 12, 2013 to Benefit Adopt-a-Soldier Platoon and our Troops A great night of fun, comraderie, food, dance and remarkable people to make any evening special!
With a Special Thanks to former Mayors of Fair Lawn, Joe Tedeschi and Jeanne Barratta, Mayor John Cosgrove, Marianne Petineo, the Borough Council, Fair Lawn Police, American Legion Post 171 Commander Albee Palmieri and everyone who worked so hard to make this Fundraiser Dinner Dance a success!
Entertainment was provided by the Gotham City Cheerleaders, and Joe Zisa and his Friends Band (with members from both the Duprees an Happenings fame); and great food from Giovanni's; wine/beer from JJ's Pub; and net proceeds going to Adopt-a-Soldier Platoon's programs to support the Troops in 2013! Plus, there were many special guests!
Thanks if you attended and sorry if you didn't. You missed a great time!
Below are some pictures from our visit to Ground Zero prior to the Dinner Dance. The Borough of Fair Lawn arranged a special visit for our Wounded Hero CPL David Bixler. Mayor Cosgrove, Town Manager Metzler and FLPD Lt. Kneer accompanied David and Adopt-a-Soldier Platoon on an amazing tour of Ground Zero, the 9/11 Memorial and even the inside of the Freedom Tower! Thank you Fair Lawn!!!!
On Sunday, 13 February, the day after the Dinner/Dance, the Fair Lawn Fire Dept. helped a World War II Veteran, Richie McBean, get a new flag and lanyard for his flagpole. CPL David Bixler also attended the flag raising and here are some pictures...
